For armor items, durability is the number of hits (that can be blocked by armor) before the item is destroyed. For tools, weapons and transportation, durability is the number of useful actions before the item is destroyed. Give Command in Minecraft Education Edition The elytra is a useful transportation item and can be used as wings to fly/glide in the game. Once you pick up the elytra, it will appear in your hotbar. Make sure you pick up the elytra before it disappears. The elytra will pop out of the frame and fall to the ground. Left click on the item frame to remove the elytra from the frame.
There will be a chest on either side of it. If you go inside the End Ship ( looks like a floating boat), you will find the elytra at the front of the boat hanging on the wall in an item frame. You can add the elytra to your inventory in Survival mode by finding one in a floating boat (looks like a pirate ship) in the End City.
